Hailing from the hills of Doddridge County, West Virginia, the Silas Powell Band demonstrates raw hillbilly attitude in an otherwise hard-hitting bluegrass sound. Performing original music and timeless bluegrass standards, the Silas Powell Band combines tradition with a homegrown edge that could only come from the Appalachian mountains. Known for their tight harmonies, world-class musicianship, and down-to-earth personality, the Silas Powell Band represents the next generation of Appalachian bluegrass.

The Silas Powell Band is comprised of three generations: Silas, Josh, and Jeff Powell as son, father, and grandfather. Although Silas is the namesake, with his lightning-fast mandolin and fierce tenor vocals, the band would be nothing without his dad—Josh—and grandpa—Jeff. Dad provides the hardest thumping bass east of the Ohio River. Meanwhile, Grandpa gives the meanest rhythm and some soulful songwriting. The three have played as a trio for well over a decade, playing across the country at festivals like Merlfest, Houstonfest, Remington Ryde, Baygrass Bluegrass Fest, and dozens more.
